Road Trip!!

After 43 hours in the car with 2 kids and a dog...we made it to NC!!! We left Montana at 10 pm last Friday hoping the girls would sleep through the night, at 4 am they were still up giggling and singing "Joy to the World" and "Away in a Manger" at the top of their lungs.   We made a pitstop in Illinois to see Grandpa and Grandma Puzey.  They welcomed us with open arms and we gladly parked the Tahoe for 3 days of rest before finishing out the last 13 hours of our trip to NC!! We had a very relaxing Christmas and enjoyed watching it snow outside while we stayed warm and cozy in the house!

New Dresses!

Thank you Nana E. for our beautiful matching Christmas dresses. The girls enjoyed wearing them to church this morning and dancing around the living room like little princesses. We are very blessed to have these two girls as our daughters!

Gingerbread House!

I am 30 years old and have never made a Gingerbread House...sooooo Mags and I decided to change that fact and make one!!! We had so much fun putting the icing and candy on the house. Magnolia is going to be quite a craft queen as she works very well with her hands...can't wait to do more projects with her!
Getting all set up!

Magnolia has really steady hands!

Focus!

Surprisingly Magnolia didn't eat any of the candy while we were decorating...she must be Josh's child!

Harvest!

We praise the Lord for a successful and fun hunting season! We are very grateful for Nana D. who watched the girls so we could go get some meat! Each time we came home with an animal Maggie would tell us how proud she was of us...haha...she is such an encourager!  Only a couple more weekends left for Josh to fill his buck tag...but it is snowing like crazy here.   We already have a foot of snow and it is still coming down!

Visit from Nana and Papa D!

The past two weeks we had the joy of visiting with Nana and Papa D! Daddy and Papa went hunting for elk, while the girls stayed home and did girly things! ;) Then when Papa and Daddy returned we took a few adventures, hiked in Glacier Park, went to Rock City, ate at Subway, Pizza Hut, and best of all we celebrated Magnolia's 3rd Birthday!!!!!!! What a blessing it has been watching this sweet flower bloom into such a kind, loving, and compassionate child. We look forward to seeing the ways the Lord will use you for His glory sweet Magnolia Fay! We love you!!!

Let's take a walk!

We try to take as many walks as we can in the Summer/Fall to store up for the long winter!!! Here is what one of our typical walks in the coulee, west of town, looks like. Enjoy!

Josh's Book!!!

Can I tell you how proud I am of my husband? He just finished his first book!! A few years ago the Lord guided Josh to dig deeper into the book of Revelation. Josh became engulfed in the Lord's Word and realized that how you interpret scripture (your hermeneutic) needs to be consistent throughout all of scripture. He taught a class at our church two years ago and has been working to compile his notes into a book form. I encourage you to take the time to read this excellent book! Check out the link on the right to order your copy today!!! Blessings to you all!

Last Weekend!

Here are a couple pics from last weekend. We traveled up to Glacier on Saturday and hiked 6 miles with the girlies. They did great and Maggie walked about 5.5 miles (her personal best!!). Daisy walked almost a whole mile, uphill! We hiked to a small lake and Maggie played in the water while Daisy took a quick nap. These girls are too much fun!

Colorado Friends!

Two weeks ago we had a delightful visit from some friends who used to live in MT and have moved back down to Colorado. Erica and I decided to throw on our "Super Mommy Capes" and take our four kids (under four yrs old) on a hike in Glacier Park! The kiddos did fantastic and we only had to carry the two older girls a 1/4 mile (they walked 3 miles!).  Magnolia had a wonderful time hiking with her friend Annika and I thoroughly enjoyed some girl time with Erica. We miss you Erica, Annika, and Aaron!!!
We made it!!

NC Trip Part 2

After visiting with Josh's family we headed over to Kannapolis to see the Efird's! We took a quick trip to the beach with my sister's family and Nana & Papaw. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and water. Daisy still wasn't a fan of the beach, she is a "mountain girl," as Josh likes to say!
Ready to go!!

Fred loved playing in the ocean!

NC Trip, Part 1

The past two weeks we spent time in NC visiting with our family.  Here are some of our favorite pics from our time in East Bend and the beach with Nana and Papa D!  Magnolia had a wonderful time playing in the ocean, going to the Aquarium, and picking blueberries!  Stay tuned for Part 2 of our NC trip!
Pretty sure half of Magnolia's pickings are in her belly! ;)

Daisy enjoyed looking at all the fish!
Magnolia's favorite part of the beach....feeding the seagulls!

Daisy wouldn't put her feet down...she prefers carpet to sand!
